Udo Segreff

Udo Segreff (born July 20, 1973 in Hanover ) is a German sledge ice hockey player .

Career

Udo Segreff started playing sledge ice hockey at the age of 26 . In the fall of 1999 he took part in his first sledge ice hockey game. His hometown club at the time, the RSG Hannover 94 , built up the first sledge ice hockey team in Hannover within two years. After new teams were founded in Dresden in 1998 and Bremen in 1999 , the official game operations of the German Sledge Ice Hockey League began in 2000 , from which the RSG emerged as the first German champions.

International

In 2001 Segreff was internationally active for the first time with a Germany selection. He became European champion with the German national team in April 2005, was the top scorer of the tournament and qualified with the national team for the 2006 Winter Paralympics in Turin . At these Paralympic Games, the German team took fourth place.

He missed the qualification for the Paralympic Games 2014 in Sochi with the German team. In 2016, Udo Segreff was called back to the national team and played at the World Cup in South Korea in 2017 to qualify for the 2018 Paralympic Games.

Udo Segreff was the top scorer in the Bundesliga nine times, making him the all-time top scorer in the Bundesliga. He is also the top scorer for the national team. In 2011 Udo Segreff reached the 500 scorer point mark and today (2013) has 413 goals and 230 assists.
