Uli Veith
Uli Veith is a German documentary filmmaker , film producer , screenwriter and director .
Career
After an internship in a newspaper and working as a cultural editor in Münster , he studied theater, film and television studies , sociology and German studies in Cologne from 1973 and received his doctorate in 1983 at the University of Osnabrück . As a freelance writer and director, he produced documentaries for public broadcasters . In 1996 he founded the Cologne film production company Taglicht Media with Bernd Wilting .
As part of the Central Innovation Program for SMEs (ZIM), Vieth is working in cooperation with the Ernst Abbe University of Jena on a process for the automatic annotation of film and video content (as of April 2017).
