The Ulujul ( Russian Улуюл ; also Ulu-Jul , Улу-Юл ) is a 411 km long right tributary of the Chulym in Tomsk Oblast in Russia .

The Ulujul rises in the eastern part of the Chulym Plain, in the extreme south-east of the West Siberian lowlands , almost 170 km as the crow flies north of Bogotol not far from the border with the Krasnoyarsk region . It flows through the plain along its entire length in a strongly meandering manner, first in a north-westerly, then in a westerly to west-south-westerly direction, in a wide arc north of the neighboring Chulym tributary, Chichkajul . It finally flows into the Tschulym near the village of Ust-Jul, just under 100 km north-northwest of Assino .

The catchment area of the river covers 8450 km². The most important tributaries are Chornaya (length 56 km) and Tschebak (58 km) from the left and the Argatjul (65 km) from the right.

The annual mean discharge 70 km above the mouth is 43.92 m³ / s, with a maximum monthly mean of 196 m³ / s in May and a minimum monthly mean of 14.13 m³ / s in March. From the second half of October / first half of November to the second half of April / first half of May, the river freezes over.

The taiga area through which the Tschitschkajul flows is only sparsely populated. For this reason it does not serve as an inland waterway , although it is navigable for smaller vessels from the middle reaches . Besides Ust-Jul at the mouth, the only villages on the lower reaches of the river are Argat-Jul and Ulu-Jul; the villages of Kilinka, Lomowka, Sakarkowo and others located further up have since been abandoned. From the middle reaches the Ulujul runs through the Pervomaiski Rajon , while the upper reaches is in the territory of the Teguldetski rajon . At the village of Ulu-Jul, a little above the mouth of the river, the Tomsk  - Assino - Bely Jar railway line that follows the Chulym crosses the Ulujul.
