Ursula Bruhin (born March 19, 1970 in Schwyz ) is a former Swiss professional snowboarder.
Bruhin has been snowboarding since 1990. In 1998, after her first successes in alpine races in the regional and Swiss Cups, she became a professional and in the same year she won her first Swiss championship. Between 2000 and 2003 she won the world championship title of the international associations ISF and FIS four times in a row . Due to controversial selection norms, she missed the 2002 Winter Olympics .
Until she was 36, Ursula Bruhin was still at the top of the FIS World Cup and was second in the world rankings behind her compatriot Daniela Meuli . At the 2006 Winter Olympics , she finished 7th in the women's parallel giant slalom. After winning the silver medal at the Swiss championships, she announced her retirement in April 2006.
Ursula Bruhin claims that she draws motivation from the Christian faith . She is a trained pastry chef and lives in Schwyz, where she was born.
