Usitasae ( Usi-Tacae ) is an East Timorese Suco in the Oesilo administrative office (Soderverwaltungsregion Oe-Cusse Ambeno ).

Before the 2015 territorial reform, Usitasae had an area of ​​35.19 km². Now there are 29.11 km². The Suco is located in the west of the Oesilo administrative office. To the east is the Suco Bobometo and to the south Usitaqueno . In the northwest, Usitasae borders on the administrative office Pante Macassar with its Suco Cunha and in the southwest on the administrative office Nitibe with its Suco Banafi . The Ekai River crosses the east of the Sucos. The Malelui flows along the border with Banafi before it makes a detour through Banafi as Malelai . At the meeting of the sucos Usitasae, Banafi and Cunha, Malelai and Bitaklele unite to form the Toko , which then forms the border between Usitasae and Cunha. After the tributary of the Bena the river is called Columu , which swings north from the Suco Bobometo. All rivers are tributaries of the Tono .

The overland road from Passabe to Nitibe runs partially through the southwest of Usitasaes, past the villages of Nobeat and Pune . At Pune, three small roads lead east, north and north-west from the highway. On the road to the east and its side streets are the places Oepauk , Asabat ( Asebat ), Sifin ( Sipin ), Bambai , Kuangkiu , Besemese , Tobo , Oebaki , Tuames , Kiubatan , Bono and Loel . On the road that runs north from Pune are the villages of Buki , Bitana and two villages called Hauana . Bat is to the east of the Ekai . There are primary schools in Hauana and Pune ( Escola Primaria Pune ). There is also a medical station in Pune.

In the Suco are the three Aldeias Buqui , Pune and Sifin .

Residents

The Suco has 3,340 inhabitants (2015), of which 1,666 are men and 1,674 are women. The population density is 114.7 inhabitants / km². There are 737 households in the Suco. Over 99% of the population list Baikeno as their mother tongue. Minorities speak Kairui or Tetum Prasa .

history

In the 1960s, the clans of the Bobos and Mekos from Usitasae migrated to Lifau on the coast of Oe-Cusse Ambeno due to overpopulation .

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections , Liberato Punef was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections , Cipriano Caunan won .
