founding

The foundation was established in 2000 on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the Landschaftliche Brandkasse . The parent company of the insurance association was founded in 1750 on an initiative of the Abbot of Loccum , therefore the current Abbot of Loccum is intended for the office of chairman of the foundation's board of trustees, in which the historical landscapes are also represented as sponsors . The foundation also participates in the promotion of reading , language promotion , literature mediation and the promotion of libraries. It also supports series of events and literature festivals.
