The VR-Bank Landsberg-Ammersee eG is a cooperative bank based in the county town of Landsberg am Lech . With 20 branches, which are divided into six market areas, and four machine locations, it is the largest cooperative bank in the Landsberg am Lech district . The oldest office was founded in 1886. Today's VR-Bank Landsberg-Ammersee eG was created in 2002 through the merger of what was then Raiffeisenbank Kaufering-Landsberg eG with Ammersee Bank eG . In 2015 Raiffeisenbank Weil und Umgebung eG merged with VR-Bank Landsberg-Ammersee eG.

VR-BürgerEnergie Landsberg eG is an independent cooperative initiated by VR-Bank Landsberg-Ammersee eG . According to the articles of association, the entire board of directors must either be on the board of directors or as an employee of VR-Bank Landsberg-Ammersee eG.

VR-Direkt.net is a regional direct bank . As with other direct banks, the customer takes on a large part of the administrative work, so that different conditions are possible than with a branch bank. Social Commitment

According to § 1 of the statutes of VR-Bank Landsberg-Ammersee eG, its main task is to promote the members. history

Until June 24, 2011, the name of the cooperative was “Landsberg-Ammersee Bank eG”. By resolution of the Board of Representatives, the firmierte bank into the current VR-Bank Landsberg-Ammersee eG. The name change followed a clear brand strategy which, in addition to the umbrella brand "VR-Bank Landsberg-Ammersee eG", provides for various competence centers with independent sub-brands. In 2014, the new VR competence and communication center was built at the existing company headquarters in the old town of Landsberg, which, in addition to the bank rooms, also includes exhibition space for non-bank exhibitors and a restaurant .
