Valentina Maceri (born August 4, 1993 in Nuremberg ) is a former German - Italian soccer player and today's sports journalist and sports presenter .

Football career

Maceri from Nuremberg started playing soccer at Post SV Nürnberg , but later moved to the youth department of 1. FC Nürnberg . In January 2010 she moved to the then second division club TSV Crailsheim . On August 8, 2010, she made her competitive debut in the DFB Cup in the first main round against the women's football team of SV Dirmingen . She scored her debut goal in a 4-0 away win. On August 15, 2010 (1st match day) in the away game against 1. FC Köln , she made her professional debut. She scored her first goal a week later. In total, the central midfielder came to 18 league games, where you get two goals. In the 2011/12 season, she played 19 league games (one goal) and a cup game.

In 2012 she moved to Italy for ASD CF Bardolino . There she made her debut in the Champions League in the 2-0 away defeat against Birmingham City LFC on September 26, 2012. In total, she came to four competitive games in the Champions League 2012/13 . After a year she left Italy and joined her former youth club 1. FC Nürnberg. Journalism and moderation

After her football career, Maceri began studying sports, event and media management at the M21 campus in Nuremberg, which she completed with a Bachelor of Arts. The multilingual Maceri speaks not only her mother tongues German and Italian but also English , French and Spanish . From January 2015 to July 2018 she worked for the sports magazine Kicker .

Maceri has been working for the German sports broadcaster Sport1 since August 2018 . There she acts as co-moderator of the Fantalk during live broadcasts of the UEFA Champions League and involves the local audience as well as the users of the social media channels in discussions. It can also be seen in the weekly format Warm-up - The football preview alongside moderator Torsten Knippertz . She also works as a sports journalist for Bild .
