Torsten Knippertz (born June 19, 1970 in Mönchengladbach ) is a German stadium announcer , actor and presenter .

Life

Knippertz grew up in Mönchengladbach, graduated from high school in Mönchengladbach and later studied sports with a focus on journalism at the German Sport University in Cologne . During his studies he began to work as a freelancer for the Mönchengladbach local radio station Radio 90.1. During his second radio engagement with Welle West in Heinsberg , he presented for the first time as a football league reporter .

Other radio stations Knippertz worked for were: Radio Rur (Düren), WDR Einslive , Energy Berlin and Energy Munich as well as Radio Cologne , where he worked for almost six years (including one and a half as a permanent editor) and hosted the Morning Show for three years. During this time Torsten Knippertz visited the drama workshop in Düsseldorf, took acting lessons with Wladimir Matuchin and attended acting seminars (among others with Herbert Fischer). Knippertz also replaced Carsten Kramer as stadium announcer for Borussia Mönchengladbach in 1999 and worked there for two years.

In 2003, the shooting of the independent film Bloodbound by Ulrich Fleischer began, in which Knippertz played the role of drug courier Stan. 2005 he moved Knippertz for half a year after Munich , where he Engler and Oliver rooms in the plays at the theater project in the independent theater INKUNST / Halle7 directed by Dirk balcony scenes of John von Duffel and hands by Dea Loher starred. At the start of the new Bundesliga season in 2009, Knippertz was also seen as the presenter of the program SATURDAY LIVE and as co-presenter of HEIMSPIEL. Both programs were also broadcast by DSF (now: SPORT1). Since September 2009 Torsten Knippertz has also been testing new gadgets and electronic gadgets for the "Knippertz quick test" section on n-tv and alternating with Carola Ferstl , moderating the programs Ratgeber Test, Ratgeber Hightech, Ratgeber Steuer & Recht, Ratgeber Immobilien, Ratgeber Geld and Guide Weekend. Since August 2012 he has been leading the SPORT1 talk show Fantalk in the 11 Friends Bar in Essen-Rüttenscheid as a mobilator . He usually interviews fans in the bar and provides information on interesting live comments from the Internet on the respective topic. Since 2012 he has also been working as the presenter of the program "n-tv Ratgeber" on the news channel N-tv .

Knippertz is also musically active. With the actor Thomas M. Held , he started the fun project "the KIXbrothers" in 2008, in which both of the mood and carnival hits performed. In 2009 the album "Cheese from Germany" was released. The second volume, "Knippi & de Jünters", is also carnival-like. With four other musicians, Knippertz has been singing carnival songs in this band since 2010, which always revolve around Borussia Mönchengladbach. In 2011 the maxi single "Mit der Raute im Herz" appeared, and in 2012 the soccer song "Welcome Back Borussia" was released. After the resumption of play in the Bundesliga in May 2020, Knippertz temporarily accompanied Christian Straßburger as a co-commentator on the Fohlen-Radio and the live format Bitburger FohlenRadio - Die Show on YouTube.
