Vera Mügge

Vera Mügge (born April 14, 1911 in Zgierz , Russian Empire , † March 9, 1984 in Berlin ) was a German costume designer .

Life

After completing vocational training at the Berlin School of Applied Arts , she was hired by Ufa as a costume designer on February 7, 1939 . Mügge was used in the prestigious color film Women Are Better Diplomats and in the propaganda film The Rothschilds, which was also set in the past .

From 1946 she worked primarily for DEFA and was responsible for, among other things, the film adaptations of the opera The Funny Wives of Windsor and Zar and Zimmermann . Since 1957 she worked especially for the Berlin CCC-Film of the producer Artur Brauner .
