history

The administrative community was founded on February 4, 1991. The municipality of Rüdigershagen was incorporated into the municipality of Niederorschel on January 1, 1996 . The municipality of Vollenborn was incorporated into the municipality of Deuna on December 31, 2013 .

As part of the Thuringia regional reform in 2018 and 2019 , the administrative community was dissolved on January 1, 2019. The member communities Deuna , Gerterode , Hausen and Kleinbartloff were incorporated into Niederorschel .
