Villa Vitalina is a village in the Oruro department in the highlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Villa Vitalina is the central location of the Cantón Villa Vitalina in the district (Bolivian: " Municipio ") Sabaya in the province of Sabaya . The village is located on the Bolivian Altiplano at an altitude of 3678  m on the northwest shore of the salt lake Salar de Coipasa .

The climate in the region is semi-arid , the annual precipitation is only 200 mm (see climate diagram Sabaya). From April to November there is a dry season with monthly values ​​of less than 10 mm of precipitation, the wet season in summer is short and the rain is not very productive. Villa Vitalina is located 213 kilometers by road from Oruro , the capital of the department of the same name.

From Oruro, the largely unpaved road Ruta 12 leads 189 kilometers in a south-westerly direction via Ancaravi and Huachacalla to Sabaya and on to Pisiga on the Chilean border. A dirt road leads south from Sabaya and reaches Villa Vitalina via the village of Villa Rosario after 24 kilometers .
