Vincent Vosse (born January 5, 1972 in Verviers ) is a Belgian racing driver and motorsport team owner.

Career

Vincent Vosses first steps in motorsport took place in Formula Ford . In this smallest international single- posto formula, he finished third in the Benelux championship in 1992, just under 20 years old . For many drivers, the Formula Ford Festival, which is held every year on the British Race Track at Brands Hatch , is an important entry point into international motorsport. In 1994 Vosse reached third place overall and a career in monoposto sport seemed possible. But like so many talented young drivers, there was a lack of sponsorship money.

Vosse therefore tried a detour via the sports and touring car scene . In 1995 he contested three races in the German Formula 3 championship on a Dallara F396, but his single-posto career came to an early end with his involvement in the Belgian Procar series for touring cars. With trips to the FIA GT Championship , he drove in this series until 2000. In 1999 he made his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and subsequently contested a large number of sports and endurance races in Europe and the United States of America.

His greatest successes were overall victory at the Spa-Francorchamps 24-hour race in 2002 and the 2001 24-hour race in Sicily, a long-distance race that took place on the Enna-Pergusa circuit , and overall victory in the GT1 classification of the 2006 Le Mans Series .

In 2009 Vosse and partners founded the Belgian W Racing Team which is active in GT racing .
