Viola Bor Chepketing

Viola Bor Chepketing (born December 26, 1979 in Eldoret ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner .

From 2003 to 2005 she won the half marathon competition of the Linz Marathon three times in a row . In 2005 she won the Frankfurt Half Marathon .

In 2006 she was the first to cross the finish line at the German Half Marathon Championship , but was subsequently disqualified because she was not allowed to start because of her participation in the Kenyan Cross Country Championship according to the DLV statutes. A third place on the 10 km course of the Paderborn Easter Run was followed by a victory in the half marathon competition of the Hanover Marathon and an eighth place in the Frankfurt Marathon .

The following year she was third in the Maratón Internacional Tangamanga, won the Guadalajara Marathon and was third in the Monterrey Marathon. In 2008 she was sixth in the Maratón de la Comarca Lagunera , in 2009 fourth in the Culiacán Marathon .

In 2010 she won the Salzburg Marathon .

Viola Bor Chepketing is a secretary by profession. From 2004 to 2006 she started for USC Heidelberg .
