vitaphon is a German audio book publisher based in Klein Krams , Mecklenburg.

history

vitaphon was founded in 2005 by Susanne Kramer in Hamburg. She studied communication science at the University of the Arts in Berlin and works as a concept writer and author. The publisher started with funeral audiobooks, today the vitaphon program includes regional crime novels, poetry, science fiction, satire and contemporary literature.

The vitaphonus authors' competition, which honors the most original radio play, has existed since 2013, in 2014 in the Hamburg crime novels category. In addition to a newly created stoneware award, this includes prize money of 500 euros, 2nd and 3rd place each 250 euros. Both professional and amateur authors are encouraged to work in different genres. 1st prize winner 2014: Lorna Johannsen with "Bärenblues in St. Georg", 2nd prize: Huug van't Hoff with "Mordsflut", 3rd prize: Evelyn Rossberg with "Tod in Ottensen".

Since 2014 there is a new branch in Klein Krams, Mecklenburg.

The publisher publishes the Hamburg crime novels . The first case of the Speicherstadt death trap was published in February 2010, the ninth crime thriller entitled Todesengel Reeperbahn was published in 2012. The directors of the studio productions are among others. a. Rolf Schmieding, Niko T. Korron, Jens Wawrczeck and Melanie Thiefenbammel. In March 2010, the first performance of the series of events Hamburg-Krimis took place live with the first radio play Death Trap Speicherstadt in the black box of the Hamburger Dialog im Dunkeln . Two more live productions followed. The Hamburg crime thrillers visited around 10,000 people live in Hamburg, Wolfsburg, Buxtehude and Vienna.

In addition to works by contemporary Hamburg authors, audio books by Hans Christian Andersen , Charles Perrault , Oscar Wilde , Marcel Aymé , Robert Graves , Alexander Puschkin , Conrad Aiken , Wolfgang Borchert , Roland Topor and others have also been published by vitaphon .

With his Edition Audoba , Jens Wawrczeck would like to bring to mind fabrics that have been forgotten. The first work was published in May 2008. The music comes from the composer Henrik Albrecht , who has focused on radio play music . Jens Wawrczeck mainly speaks his productions himself.
