Vladimír Hudáček (born October 28, 1971 in České Budějovice , Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czech ice hockey goalkeeper and current coach .

Career

Vladimír Hudáček began his career as a hockey player at HC Vajgar Jindřichův Hradec , for whom he made his debut in the newly founded Czech Extra League in the 1993/94 season . Then the goalkeeper moved to their league rivals HC Slavia Prague , but he left the capital city during the season and moved to HC Vítkovice for the following year and a half . With Vítkovice he was defeated in the 1996/97 season in the finals of HC Petra Vsetín in the best-of-three series with a sweep . After he started the 1997/98 season at HC Karlovy Vary , he ran for HC Plzeň until 1999 . From 1999 to 2002, the national player for HC Zlín stood between the posts before he was signed by HC České Budějovice shortly before the end of the season .

After two years in Budějovice, Hudáček moved to Molot-Prikamje Perm from the Wysschaja Liga , the second Russian division, during the 2003/04 season . With the Russians he immediately succeeded in advancing to the Super League , where he was the best goalkeeper in the league with the best goals against goals (1.21 goals per game). From 2004 to 2006 the Czech was on the ice for Perm in the super league. For the 2006/07 season he first signed with their league rivals Metallurg Novokuznetsk , before ending the season with EV Landshut in the 2nd Bundesliga and his ex-club HC Plzeň in the Czech Extra League . The world champion from 2000 and 2001 spent the entire 2007/08 season at HKm Zvolen in the Slovak extra league . He then returned to Russia, where he began the 2008/09 season in the Vysschaya League at his ex-club Molot-Prikamje Perm, before moving to their league rivals Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg during the season . After the season he ended his active career.

In the 2010/11 season Hudáček worked as a goalkeeping coach at HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk from the Continental Hockey League .

International

For the Czech Republic , Hudáček took part in the World Championships in 2000 and 2001 . In both world championships, he remained as a substitute goalkeeper without any use.
