The Vorachbuck is a 608.8 m above sea level. NHN high, partly wooded mountain of the low mountain range Hahnenkamm , a ridge of the Franconian Alb in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen .

location
The partly wooded Vorachbuck is northeast of Döckingen on the southern edge of the Hahnenkamm on the border between the municipality of Heidenheim in the district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen and the municipality of Wolferstadt in the Swabian district of Donau-Ries . To the northeast lies the Treuchtlingen district of Wieshof . Not far to the east are the Hirschbuck and the Uhlberg . The Wieshofgraben flows past to the east. The mountain is situated in the Altmühltal nature park in a conservation area .
Natural allocation
The Vorachbuck heard in the physiographic feature unit group Franconian Jura (no. 08), in the main unit Southern Frankenalb (082) and in the subunit Altmühlalb (082.2) for the natural area of Hahnenkammalb (082.20).
