The Vordere Brandjochspitze is 2559 m above sea level. A. high peak of the north chain in the Karwendel and forms one of the most distinctive and highest elevations of the same. In the immediate vicinity is the Hintere Brandjochspitze , north-northwest , which towers over the front by 40 m. A pronounced ridge runs south to the Brandjochkreuz ( 2268 m above sea level ), the Brandjochsüdgrat . To the east, the main ridge of the Nordkette leads to Frau Hitt .
Approaches
The easiest ascent, the Julius-Pock-Weg, leads from the Frau Hitt-Sattel ( 2235 m above sea level ), which can be reached via various routes from Innsbruck or from Scharnitz through the Gleirschtal and Kleinkristental , partly with wire rope insurance ( UIAA I ) the summit. Another popular route runs from the Brandjochboden over the Brandjochkreuz and the Brandjochsüdgrat (UIAA III-) to the summit.
