When his loud neighbor, Rolf, moves in next door, he realizes his chance, as he recognizes the brutal rocker “Zahnfee” Rolf Olsen in him. After a break-in, he has certainty and convinces his old editor-in-chief of a revelatory story. However, he wants proof and so Viktor befriends the rocker. After a night of partying on the Reeperbahn , he filmed enough evidence.

Rolf sends the whore Kandi to Viktor's house without his knowledge. But this misses the time and so Alex bursts in and leaves Viktor. Furious, Viktor reveals his real background and runs to his editor-in-chief with a fake video that shows Rolf shooting a person. But during the conversation he gets scruples and swallows the stick. In the meantime, Rolf has tried to get Alex back to Viktor.

Viktor wants to explain to Rolf that he has nothing more to fear from him, but Rolf has completely different worries. Actually he is under witness protection because he wants to testify against his old gang. If Viktor finds out about him, others can do the same. After the make-up sex with Alex, Viktor notices that the moving helper was the bar owner on the Reeperbahn. He counts one and one together and so he and Alex set out to free Rolf. Alex pretends to be the new stripper and distracts the bad guys. Viktor can free Rolf, but the rocker boss is already there to make an example. In the subsequent exchange of fire, Kandi finally succeeds in taking down the rocker boss.

Afterwards Viktor and Alex have dinner with Rolf and his wife.

reception

Wilfried Hippen described the film in the taz as a “successful debut film”. "With its punch lines, perfect timing and actors", the film is "one of the highlights of the year."

Also Rainer Tittelbach expressed praise for the film:

“'Vorstadtrocker' by Martina Plura, created as part of the NDR young talent film series 'Northern Lights', is a successful little mentality comedy about the female and male side in men and the friendship between men resulting from these poles. The film impresses with a good, useful script with a strong final twist, three premium-class actors, successful situation comedy & a great look. "

The film received somewhat less positive reviews from the film service :

"(TV) drama about the friendship of two very unequal men, which is only of limited use as a determination of the position of the supposedly 'stronger sex', but has a sovereign acting actor."
