In 1815 Wörgl-Kufstein was declared an independent political municipality.
The annexation as a dependent fraction of the neighboring municipality Kirchbichl took place in 1854, before Wörgl-Kufstein was again raised to an independent municipality in 1864.
On June 23, 1910, the Wörgl-Kufstein municipal council approved a village association with Wörgl-Rattenberg, which took place on December 31, 1910. The elevation of the newly created village of Wörgl to market by Emperor Franz Joseph I was completed on March 28, 1911.
politics
Elections (or confirmations) of so-called village chiefs were held annually on November 11th. Since there was no permanent municipal office, the municipal assemblies alternated between the three inns Alte Post, Neue Post and the Gasthof zum Weißen Lamm in the center of the village of Wörgl.
