Wędzice (German Vandüz ) is a residential area in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland .

The place of residence is in Western Pomerania , about 15 kilometers southwest of the city of Kołobrzeg (Kolberg) .

The residential area, founded as a dismantling of the village of Gandelin located about 1.5 km to the north , appeared for the first time under his name Vandüz on official maps in the first half of the 20th century. The origin of the name is unknown, it may be a field name or the name of an owner. In the official registers, however, Vandüz was not listed as a separate residence.

Before 1945, Vandüz belonged as part of the rural community of Gandelin to the Kolberg-Körlin district in the province of Pomerania .

After the Second World War , Vandüz, like all of Western Pomerania, came to Poland. The place received the Polish name Wędzice . Today he belongs to the Gmina Siemyśl (rural community Simötzel) and with this to the powiat Kołobrzeski (Kolberger Kreis) .
