The 2000/01 season was the sixth regular season of the West Coast Hockey League . During the regular season, the nine teams played 72 games each. In the play-offs, the San Diego Gulls prevailed and won the fourth Taylor Cup in their club history.

- The Long Beach Ice Dogs from the International Hockey League were added to the league as an expansion team.
