The Calgary Oval X-Treme defeated the Edmonton Chimos 3-0 in the championship final and thus secured their first championship title in the WWHL.
Attendees

The individual teams were partly teams from the former Western Division of the National Women's Hockey League .

Regular season
The regular season began on October 15, 2004 and ended on February 27, 2005.
Due to the spatial distance of the Minnesota Whitecaps to the other teams, the Whitecaps completed only twelve season games, while all other teams played 21 games. The games with the participation of the whitecaps were therefore scored twice, otherwise the two-point rule was applied. In addition, there were bonus points for consecutive wins (1 point) and Weekend Series Sweeps (three wins in one weekend - 2 points).
