The Freital I constituency was a state electoral district for the state elections in Saxony in 1990 , the first state election after the re-establishment of the state of Saxony. Its constituency number was 49. The constituency structure was changed for the 1994 and 1999 state elections . The area of ​​the constituency Freital I became part of the constituency Weißeritzkreis in 2004 .

The constituency comprised the following eleven municipalities of the Freital district : Bannewitz , Bärenklause-Kautzsch , Borthen , Freital , Goppeln , Kreischa , Oelsa , Possendorf , Rabenau , Rippien and Sobrigau . The other municipalities of the district were recorded via the constituencies Dippoldiswalde - Freital II (50) and Dresden, Land II - Freital III (47).
