The constituency of Hohenstein-Ernstthal was a state electoral district for the state election in Saxony in 1990 , the first state election after the re-establishment of the state of Saxony. It had constituency number 56. For the 1994 state elections , the constituency structure was also changed as a result of the district reform, and the number of constituencies was reduced from 80 to 60. The area of the constituency Hohenstein-Ernstthal was divided into the constituencies Chemnitzer Land 1 and Chemnitzer Land 2 .
