The history of Waldo goes back to Lyndon Station , which was built in the Town of Lyndon in 1871 . In 1873 a settlement was established here, which was named after the public prosecutor OHWaldo . In 1923 the settlement was separated from the town and incorporated as the Village of Waldo .
