Walter Rosenwald

Walter Rosenwald (born December 21, 1924 in Bayreuth , Germany ; † March 22, 2012 ) was a German ministerial official who was best known for his work on military history and religious orders .

Live and act

Walter Rosenwald worked as a youth welfare worker and city ​​youth worker in Kulmbach and Kassel . In 1967 he became social inspector in what was then the Hessian Ministry of Labor, Public Welfare and Health Care . Later he was a youth care worker in Wiesbaden and a ministerial advisor in the Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs .

Walter Rosenwald was a lieutenant colonel in the Bundeswehr reserve . He dealt extensively with studies of military history and religious orders.

He was a member of the editorial board of the magazine Orden und Ehrenzeichen of the German Society for Religious Studies and an honorary member of the Institute for Media Education and Communication Hesse.
