Wall 5
Wand 5 is a Stuttgart association for the promotion of independent film and media culture.
One of the main activities of the association, founded in 1985, is the annual realization of a festival for short and experimental films, the Stuttgart Film Winter . In addition, since 2001 the lecture and exhibition forum "media-space" , which deals with the relationship between media and space, information technology and architecture, has been organized by the association. Wand 5 also operates a rental company ( "Wand 5 Verleih" ), which offers films and videos from the fields of experimental film, video art, short film and documentary film. Among other things, the New York University was advised.
Founding members include the director Esther Gronenborn and the director of the Stuttgart International Animated Film Festival Ulrich Wegenast.
