Monika Hansen

Monika Hansen (* 1943 ) is a German theater and film actress .

Life

Hansen is the mother of actors Ben Becker and Meret Becker , who came from her marriage to actor Rolf Becker . After divorcing Rolf Becker in 1971, Hansen married the actor Otto Sander . Her brother Jonny Buchardt was also an actor . Her mother was the comedian Claire Schlichting .

She received her acting training from 1959 to 1962 at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich. After her first permanent engagement at the Ulm Theater , she then worked for ten years at the Bremen Theater under the direction of Kurt Hübner, whom she followed in 1973 to the Freie Volksbühne Berlin . Further stations in her career were the Schillertheater and the Schaubühne on Halleschen Ufer in Berlin. There she worked with Luc Bondy , Klaus Michael Grüber and Frank-Patrick Steckel , among others . The latter brought her to the Schauspielhaus Bochum for Einar Schleef's Die Unternehmer . She also played at the Renaissance Theater Berlin and the Staatstheater Kassel .

She worked in films by Margarethe von Trotta , Rosa von Praunheim and Wim Wenders as well as in various television productions. In the film Der Einstein des Sex (1999) by Rosa von Praunheim she played together with her children Meret and Ben Becker and her husband Otto Sander.

Monika Hansen lives in Berlin .
