Peter Eckhart Reichel (born June 27, 1957 in Dresden ) is an author , radio play director and audio book producer .

Life

Reichel has lived in Berlin as a freelance author and audio book producer since 1991; since 1996 he has worked mainly as a radio play and feature writer for the radio . In 1997 Reichel became a member of the Association of German Writers (VS).

The author has also worked as a freelance audio book producer for the duo-phon records label since 2001 and from 2005 to 2006 as a project manager for several audio book productions for the wortstark label of the stage publisher Felix Bloch Erben. In July 2007 he founded his own audio book publisher hoerbuchedition words & music . So far over 80 audio books have been produced with his participation .

Reichel also writes scripts, detective novels, radio plays, research for documentaries and articles on cabaret history.

He has received awards for several of his audio book productions, including from the jurors of the hr2 audio book best list and two nominations for the German Audio Book Prize in 2008 and 2011.
