British Antarctic Territory Coat of Arms

The coat of arms of the British Antarctic Territory , the British overseas territory in Antarctica , shows three blue wavy bars in silver above which a fallen red tip with a gold-burning golden torch lies.

Shield holders are on the right a golden, red-armored and tongued lion on a green lawn and on the left a red-billed king penguin standing on an ice floe. On the shield rests a toad-head helmet turned to the right with blue-silver helmet covers and a blue-silver crest with a black square sail with three golden masts without sails floating to the right.

The slogan in black capital letters " Research and Discovery " ( Engl. For research and discovery ) can be found on the golden ribbon below the crest.

The coat of arms can also be found on the flag of the British Antarctic Territory .
