Warley Silva dos Santos , or Warley for short , (born February 13, 1979 in Sobradinho , Brazil ) is a Brazilian football player.
Career
Warley began his career in 1997 with Coritiba FC , then was under contract with Athletico Paranaense in the 1997/98 season , before signing with the Italian club Udinese Calcio in 1998 . He made his Serie A debut on September 19, 1999 against Juventus Turin , which the club lost 4-1. In September 2000 he traveled to Poland for the UEFA Europa League for the game against Polonia Warsaw . Polish officials discovered that the passport was forged and actually belonged to his teammate Alberto Valentim . He was then loaned to the Gremio Porto Alegre club. In June 2001 Warley was suspended for one year along with his teammates Alberto Valentim, Jorginho Paulista and Alejandro da Silva . The ban was lifted early on January 13, 2002, and he played his first game after the ban on the same day. In mid-2003 he returned to Brazil, signed a contract with AD São Caetano and played there two Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol A seasons. In the 2005/06 season he was under contract with the club SE Palmeiras , then until the 2007/08 season with various clubs. In the 2008/09 season he was offered a contract by the club ABC Natal and saved the club from the threat of relegation to the Serie C league. In the 2009/10 season he was under contract for the club Vila Nova FC , in 2011 he moved to Club FC Treze . He helped the club win the 2011 Campeonato Paraibano . In 2012 he was with Campinense Clube , in 2013 with Botafogo FC (PB) and in 2014 he got a contract with Ríver AC , with which he has been active since then.
