The Warm Pastritz ( Teplá Bystřice in Czech ) is a right tributary of the Chamb in the Czech Republic and Germany . The runoff continues over the rain and the Danube into the Black Sea . This makes the Warm Pastritz a river of the fourth order.

course

The Teplá Bystřice rises at the northern foot of the Čerchov ( Schwarzkopf , 1042 m nm) in the Upper Palatinate Forest . Its source is located east of Malinová hora ( Beerenfels , 963 m nm) or south of Černovrší ( Black Mountain ; 793 m nm) in the protected landscape area (CHKO) Český les. The Radbuza tributary Čerchovka or Černý potok and another Černý potok, which flows into the Bohemian Schwarzach in Bavaria near Höll as Schwarzbach, also arise in the immediate vicinity .

The upper course runs first in an easterly, then in a south-easterly direction through the forest area Čerchovský les and east of the Čerchov is covered by the Pastritz Canal ( Teplobystřický kanál ). East of the Malý Čerchov (988 m nm) and the high mountain (957 m nm) the valley of the Teplá Bystřice including some small tributaries is protected as a nature reserve Bystřice.

On the saddle of the Hochberg at a height of 541 m nm , the Pastritz Canal is diverted from the Teplá Bystřice on the left and past the southern foot of Na Podkově ( On the Horseshoe ; 588 m nm) over the European main watershed between the Danube and the Elbe to the east to Bystřice ( Pastritz ) and then on to the Zubřina .

South of the Na Podkově the Teplá Bystřice changes direction to the south and flows past Česká Kubice and Nová Kubice ( German Kubitzen ) by Hamerský Mlyn, the deserted village Pozorka ( Gibacht ), Dolní Folmava ( sub Vollmau ) and the deserted village lard mill. At Česká Kubice, the Teplá Bystřice leaves the protected landscape area Český les on this section. Past Horní Folmava and the Ovčí Vrch ( Schafberg ) desert , the Teplá Bystřice in the Šteflův Mlýn ( Steffelmühle ) desert reaches the Czech-German border at the Folmava (Vollmau) border crossing and forms the border brook over a length of 600 meters. Then the Warm Pastritz flows into German territory. Its lower course leads at the western foot of the Dieberg (639 m above sea level) past Höll, Dieberg, Schafberg and Sauberg; the creek is bridged southwest of Dieberg by the Plzeň – Furth railway in the forest . After almost twelve kilometers, the Warme Pastritz flows into the Chamb northeast of Furth in the forest .

The Czech part of the stream runs along its entire length of 9.2 kilometers through the Český les Nature Park; the catchment area of the Teplá Bystřice in the Czech Republic covers 14.905 km². The brook has a length of three kilometers through Germany.

history

Until the 18th century, the entire valley of the Warm Pastritz belonged to the Electorate of Bavaria . After the War of the Spanish Succession , the upper part of the valley was ceded to the Kingdom of Bohemia in 1707 .
