Bavenhausen is a district of the municipality of Kalletal in the district of Lippe , North Rhine-Westphalia .

history

In Bavenhausen finds could be made that prove a Stone Age settlement of the area. The first written mention of Bavenhausen as Bavenhußen comes from 1343.

Incorporation

The formerly independent municipality of Bavenhausen was merged with other localities to form the municipality of Kalletal with effect from January 1, 1969, in accordance with Section 7 of the Lemgo Act . From 1932, Bavenhausen and these communities formed the direct administrative level under the district administration in Lemgo , which was opened in 1973 together with the Detmold district office in the Lippe district. Between 1879 and 1932 the community was part of the Hohenhausen district .

South of the Teimer lies the town of Rentorf and on the B 238 to Lemgo the settlement of Waterloo , both of which belong to the district of Bavenhausen.

Buildings

The Bavenhausen windmill has stood on the Windberg since 1853 . Today it is used as an elevated tank for the local water supply. There is a primary school and a kindergarten in Bavenhausen.

The Teimer nature reserve extends over 71 hectares on the Teimer shell limestone elevation.

Sports

The Spielvereinigung Bavenhausen from 1924 e. V. is the local sports club for football, table tennis and popular sports.
