It was worked with perfect restraint and thus the total work of art was not made worse with synthetically emphasized effects as on many other 5.1 mixes. The placement of individual instruments, including the voices of Lee Douglas, Vincent Cavanagh and Petter Carlsen, appear well thought-out at all times and are precisely tailored to the respective piece. The strings, the piano and the gentle guitar parts give you the feeling of being wrapped in a cozy, warm cover, sometimes more front-heavy and sometimes more back-heavy, but without degrading to a 5.1 demo CD. "

With its catchy sound, dreamy melodies and a good dose of pressure, Weather Systems is sure to have a place in rock history. Even if a comparison is not absolutely desired, Anathema could be called the Pink Floyd of the 21st century. "
