Career

In 1637 he became a ducal Pomeranian district administrator in the Principality of Cammin during the Thirty Years' War . After the Treaty of Münster in 1648, this part of Pomerania fell to the Electorate of Brandenburg . In 1654 he and Christian Ernst von Podewils were appointed director of the funeral of the last Pomeranian Duke Bogislaus XIV . That year, on June 24, 1654, he received the feudal letter from Elector Friedrich Wilhelm over Gummenz and when Joachim Henning von Schmeling took his leave on July 11, 1654 , he was appointed inspector of the monastery in Kolberg. That was also the time when he recruited a regiment on foot, which was garrisoned in Stargard. He died a little later in 1659.

He was buried in the newly built family funeral on Wogenthin in 1660. The elector sent the commandant of Kolberg Bogislaw von Schwerin as his representative.
