Anton von Bonin († May 25, 1633 in Köslin ) was lord of Karzin and Klannin in the Duchy of Pomerania , 1610 monastery bailiff, 1618 dean of the collegiate church in Kolberg , from 1623 finally councilor.

origin

Anton von Bonin was the third son of Adrian von Bonin († 1609) on waves Thin and Jatzthum and Anna von Lettow from the house Pritzke.

Career

After extensive studies at several universities, Anton von Bonin and other Pomeranian noblemen accompanied Duke Georg II on his trip to Europe, which began in Stettin on August 29, 1608 and ended again on August 16, 1610. In recognition of his services, he soon became Stiftsvoigt. In 1618 Anton becomes dean of the collegiate church in Kolberg.

In 1619, Duke Ulrich von Pommern and Franz Boehn on Kulsow gave him the right to the Karzin and Klannin estates. It was not until 1627 that he was finally able to agree on the goods with him in an inheritance contract.

1621 he took over as deputy of the stands at the funeral Duke Francis I in part, led it together with the District Christoph von Manteuffel , the wife of Duke Ulrich. He also attended the latter's funeral, and then paid homage as dean of Kolberg to Duke Bogislaw XIV.

After countless services for the dukes, he fell ill on the return journey from a diplomatic mission that had brought him to Krakow to see King Wladislaw and died in Koslin.

He was indisputably one of the most important Pomeranian personalities of his time and the most important representative of his family in their earlier history.
