Pawel Kastramin (* 1991 ; Belarusian Павел Кастрамін , Russian Павел Костромин / Pawel Kostromin) is a Belarusian boxer in the welterweight division .

successes

Kastramin won a bronze medal at the European Schoolchildren Championships in Tver in 2005 . In 2012 he won another bronze medal at the U22 European Championships in Kaliningrad . After victories against Sergej Bikow from Ukraine and Thurles Moran from Ireland, he lost in the semi-finals against Saal Kwachatadze from Georgia.

In 2013 he defeated the Dutchman Max van der Pas, the Romanian Orlando Chirvase and Vasile Belous from Moldova at the European Championships in Minsk , before losing to the German Araik Marutjan in the semifinals and thus again won bronze. He was then able to participate in the 2013 World Championships in Almaty , but retired from Ukraine in the first fight against Denis Lazarew.

In 2015 he won the silver medal at the European Championships in Samokov . After victories against Anass Messaoudi from Belgium, Albi Sorra from Albania, Adam Nolan from Ireland and Clarence Goyeram from Sweden, he reached the final, which he lost against Eimantas Stanionis from Lithuania. At the 2015 World Championships in Doha , he was eliminated in the round of 16 against Kazakh Danijar Jeleussinow after defeating Japanese Yasuhiro Suzuki in the preliminary round.

At the 2016 Olympic Games he was eliminated in the first fight against Sailom Adi from Thailand . At the 2017 European Championships in Kharkiv , he defeated Onur Şipal in the preliminary round and lost to Vasili Belous in the round of 16.

Kastramin is also the winner of international tournaments such as the Governor Cup 2013 in Russia and the Liventsev Memorial 2014 and 2015 in Belarus.
