Vasile Belous (* 27. August 1988 in Ocniţa ) is a Moldovan boxer in the welterweight division .

Career

National

Vasile Belous was in the elite class 2006 and 2007 Moldovan light welterweight champion and from 2008 to 2018, eleven times in a row Moldovan welterweight champion.

Continental championships

Belous already started at the Junior European Championships 2007 in Sombor , where he reached the quarterfinals against Muhammad Aswad and Ervin Szabó, where he was eliminated by Evgeny Borisow.

At the European Championships in Liverpool in 2008 he defeated Martin Svoboda, but then lost to Jaoid Chiguer in the round of 16 . At the 2010 European Championships in Moscow and the 2011 European Championships in Ankara , he was eliminated in the first fight against John Joe Joyce and Denis Lasarew.

In the 2016 European Olympic qualification in Samsun , he defeated Zdeněk Chládek and Pavel Kostromin , but lost to Eimantas Stanionis and Wladimir Margaryan, which meant he had to go to Baku for the worldwide Olympic qualification. There he was able to defeat Daniel Adamiec and Juan Pablo Romero, but was eliminated in the round of 16 against Souleymane Cissokho and could therefore not qualify.
