Souleymane Diop Cissokho (born July 4, 1991 in Dakar , Senegal ) is a French boxer of Senegalese origin in welterweight (-69 kg).

Amateur career

The 1.79 m tall left boom won tournaments in Russia, Finland, Poland and the Czech Republic, among others. Levani Dolenjaschwili , Onur Şipal , Balázs Bácskai and Simeon Chamow were among his defeated opponents . In addition, he is French lightweight champion in 2011 and French welterweight champion in 2013 and 2014.

In 2011 he won the European Student Championships in Moscow and in 2014 the World University Championships in Yakutsk . He won a bronze medal at the 2014 EU Championships in Sofia .

In June 2016 he won the World Olympic Qualification Tournament in Baku with victories against Gela Abashidze (3: 0), Lee Dong-Jin (3: 0), Vasile Belous (3: 0), Simeon Chamow (3: 0), Josh Kelly (3: 0) and Balázs Bácskai (3: 0). He then started at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where he defeated Balázs Bácskai (3: 0), Pərviz Bağırov (3: 0) and Sailom Adi (3: 0), then in the semi-finals against Danijar Jeleussinow (0: 3 ) lost and won a bronze medal.

Professional career

On January 21, 2017, he played his first professional fight in Levallois-Perret and won the first round by knockout against Renato Goman. In June 2018, he won against former IBF world champion Carlos Amado Molina .

On February 9, 2019, he won the French light middleweight championship by knocking out Romain Garofalo.
