The military district XXI (Posen) was a territorial administrative unit of the Wehrmacht during the time of the National Socialist German Reich and existed from 1939 to 1945. The military district was responsible for the military security of the so-called Wartheland as well as the provision and training of parts of the army in this area. The military district comprised the military districts of Posen, Lissa (Wartheland) , Hohensalza , Leslau , Kalisch and Litzmannstadt . The headquarters were in Poznan .
