The Broel winery (also Domley winery ) in Rhöndorf , a district of the city of Bad Honnef in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia , is the only remaining winery in the place. The winery from 1905 (Karl-Broel-Straße 3a) and the associated house from 1904 (Karl-Broel-Straße 3 / Rhöndorfer Straße) are listed as historical monuments .

The Broel family had owned a winery in Rhöndorf since the middle of the 19th century. Around 1905 it was moved from the Hotel Wolkenburg to the current location opposite. The estate became famous under the leadership of Karl Broel (1882–1920), a city councilor. After Bonn became the seat of government of the Federal Republic of Germany in 1949 , the winery in the place of residence of the first Federal Chancellor Konrad Adenauer advanced to a meeting place for high-ranking politicians.

The winery includes a cellar , press hall, office and a barrel cooperage . The winery's wine cellar is the largest in the Siebengebirge . It cultivates an area of 2.5 hectares in the Rhöndorf single location Drachenfels within the major location Petersberg , where it only grows white wines today . A stone from the vineyards of the former Cologne cathedral chapter on the Drachenfels, which shows the coat of arms of the Electorate of Cologne and Simon Petrus , is embedded in a pillar at the entrance to the winery . Parts of an old screw press can still be seen in the garden .

The entry of the house and the winery in the list of monuments of the city of Bad Honnef took place on November 11, 1982.
