The Wendelberg is a 255  m above sea level. NHN high mountain in Haibach and Aschaffenburg in Bavaria .

geography

The mountain is located with its summit and most of its area coverage in Haibach, a smaller part is in the eastern urban area of ​​Aschaffenburg. The Büchelberg is located in the north . It is bordered to the south by the Dörnbach valley . State road 2312 (formerly federal road 8 ) runs there below the Wendelberg . The mountain is accessible. In the north there is a quarry that has been abandoned since 1985 and is now protected as a natural monument and geotope (No. 671a032). The dominant rock is biotite gneiss , but the quarry is mainly known among geologists for its Spessartite . Further below, above the Engelswiese, there is a listed well room (monument no. D-6-71-124-15), whose spring water flows into the Kühruhgraben via the Heckgraben .
