Who's Afraid of Santa Claus? is a 15-minute German comedy film by director Annette Ernst , who also wrote the screenplay with Joachim Jung , from 1996. The short film is based on the satire The Trap by the writer Robert Gernhardt . In the main roles , Rolf Becker and Rotraud Rieger play the parents Mr. and Mrs. Lemm, who wish their children a perfect Christmas.

To create a perfect Christmas, the Lemm family needs a Santa Claus. It should appear authentic and it should be cheap. So a student is hired who not only gives the children presents, but also and above all teaches them.

The situation gets out of hand, because the student, which is initially cheap in price, presents himself as a Christmas disaster. Not only does he suddenly bring his own ideas of a Christmas party with him, several other Santa Clauses follow him, who seem to be very happy with the Lemm family feel good and that can no longer be brought out of the house.
