The Werbach area is a landscape protection area of over 21 km² in the municipality of Werbach in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg . It was designated by ordinance of April 1, 1985 (LSG number 1.28.009).

location

The nature reserve belongs to the Tauberland . It lies on the territory of the municipality of Werbach. The conservation area is located in a breakthrough in the Tauber River through the layers of shell limestone and red sandstone .

The Werbach landscape protection area comprises ecologically high-quality areas with a balanced natural balance and a multitude of landscape-defining elements .
