The West Point Township is one of 18 townships in Stephenson County in the northwest of the US -amerikanischen state of Illinois .

West Point Township is located in northwest Illinois, around 3 miles south of the Wisconsin border . The Mississippi , which forms the border with Iowa , is about 60 km to the west.
The West Point Township is 42 ° 25'02 "north latitude and 89 ° 52'10" west longitude and extends over an area of 92.71 km². To the east of West Point Township is Lake Le-Aqua-Na , a small state park .
West Point Township is located in northwest Stephenson County and borders Jo Daviess County to the west . Within Stephenson County, West Point Township is bordered by Winslow Township to the north, Waddams Township to the east, Erin Township to the southeast and Kent Township to the south .
