The Ridott Township is one of 18 townships in Stephenson County in the northwest of the US -amerikanischen state of Illinois .

The Ridott Township is located in northwest Illinois around 25 km south of the Wisconsin border . The Mississippi , which forms the border with Iowa , is about 85 km to the west.
The Ridott Township lies at 42 ° 15'51 "north latitude and 89 ° 27'42" west longitude and extends over 138.82 km². The Pecatonica River , a tributary of the Rock River, flows from Wisconsin to the north of the township .
The Ridott Township is located in the southeast of Stephenson County and is bordered to the east by Winnebago and to the south by Ogle County . Within Stephenson County, Ridott Township borders Silver Creek Township in the west, Lancaster Township in the northwest and Rock Run Township in the north .

US Highway 20 , which is the shortest connection between the cities of Freeport and Rockford , runs through the township in a west-east direction . All other roads are county roads and further subordinate and partly unpaved roads.
A Canadian National Railway runs parallel to Highway 20 and runs west from Chicago .
The nearest airport is Albertus Airport , located around 5 km west of the township near Freeport, the center of the entire region.
