Erdleiten is a village in the Mühlviertel in Upper Austria and locality of the municipality of Bad Zell in the district of Freistadt .

geography

The place is about 3 kilometers northwest of Bad Zell on a hill at just under ( 600 m above sea level ) above the L1456 Tragweiner Straße (Bad Zell - Tragwein ).

The village has almost 35 buildings with around 120 inhabitants. The local area also includes the farms along the Riedl, which runs to the right of the Hinterbach, including the Steininger, Pleimer and Breiteneicher farms , which are already on the Hinterbach Bridge near Bad Zell.

history

The place was first mentioned in documents as Erhardleiten (Erhartleyttenn) in 1438. Erdleiten still belonged to the Schwertberg regional court (the rest of the community belonged to the Prandegg-Zellhof regional court ).

Tourism and sightseeing

The Mühlviertler Mittellandweg (No. 150), which, coming from Pregarten , continues to Bad Zell , leads through Erdleiten . The Naturparkweg cycle path (No. 30) runs down the state road .
In winter, the approximately 11 km long Erdleiten trail from Bad Zell is groomed.

700 meters south of the village, already on the municipality of Tragwein, there is a natural monument, an approximately 300 year old twin yew tree ( nd508 ).
