List of natural monuments in the Freistadt district
The list of natural monuments in the Freistadt district lists the objects designated as natural monuments in the Freistadt district in the federal state of Upper Austria . Of the 35 natural monuments, 23 protected objects are trees or groups of trees, twelve natural monuments are protected stone blocks. The trees and groups of trees designated as natural monuments include various native species, with seven natural monuments summer linden (Tilia platyphyllos) , four red beeches or copper beeches ( Fagus sylvatica or Fagus sylvatica f. Purpurea ), and five European yew trees (Taxus baccata ) include five winter lime trees (Tilia cordata) , and three common oaks (Quercus robur) . Spatially, the natural monuments are spread across the municipality of Unterweißbach , where there are five natural monuments alone. In addition, there are four natural monuments each in Gutau and Königswiesen and three monuments in Neumarkt im Mühlkreis .
