List of natural monuments in the Grieskirchen district

The list of natural monuments in the district of Grieskirchen lists the objects designated as natural monuments in the district of Grieskirchen in the federal state of Upper Austria . Of the 18 natural monuments, 17 protected objects are trees or groups of trees, one natural monument is a protected rocking stone . Among the natural monuments are mainly native species, including six summer linden ( Tilia platyphyllos ), five pedunculate oak ( Quercus robur ), three winter linden ( Tilia cordata ), two common horse chestnuts ( Aesculus hippocastanum ), a giant sequoia ( Sequoiadendron giganteum ) and one Common beech ( Fagus sylvatica ). With three natural monuments, the municipality of Gallspach has the highest number of natural monuments, Natternbach , St. Agatha and Tollet each have two natural monuments.

At the time it was placed under protection, the linden tree had a trunk circumference of 6.3 m (measured at a height of 1.5 m), a height of 25 m and a crown diameter of around 18 m.		March 26, 1985
		Oak in Wies	nd433	Gallspach KG:  Enzendorf GrStNr: 177/1 location	The English oak ( Quercus robur ) stands on the Gallspacher Straße between Meggenhofen and Gallspach at km 4.6 on a road embankment. At the time it was placed under protection, it had a trunk circumference of 5.1 m, a crown diameter of 25 m and a height of around 26 m.		03/05/1991
		Linden tree in vineyard	nd455	Gallspach KG:  Enzendorf GrStNr: 395 location	The summer lime tree ( Tilia platyphyllos ) can be found in the village of Weinberg near the Gallspach riding club.		03/21/1991
		2 house linden trees in Hofkirchen	nd496	Hofkirchen an der Trattnach KG:  Gassen GrStNr: 130 location	The two winter linden trees ( Tilia cordata ) are at the southern entrance to Hofkirchen an der Trattnach. At the time they were placed under protection, the two trees had a trunk circumference of 3.5 and 2.75 m (measured at a height of one meter), a common crown diameter of 15 m and a respective height of around 25 m.		12/18/1992
		2 large oaks on the Innviertel federal road	nd235	Kallham KG:  Kallham GrStNr: 2411/1 location	The two English oaks ( Quercus robur ) stand on a steep slope of a parking lot in the municipality of Kallham on Innviertler Straße . At the time it was placed under protection, one of the two oaks had a trunk circumference of 4.2 m, the height was estimated at around 30 m.		01/24/1984
		Village linden	nd195	Natternbach KG:  Natternbach GrStNr: 50/3 location	The summer lime tree ( Tilia platyphyllos ) is in the center of Natternbach next to the Gasthaus zur Linde. At the time it was placed under protection, it had a trunk circumference of 3.9 m (at a height of one meter) and a height of around 25 m. The northern one was removed from the original two main branches before it was placed under protection.		08/12/1983
		Jungfraustein	nd230	Natternbach KG:  Natternbach GrStNr: 3433 location	The Jungfraustein is a 3 m² granite block ( rocking stone ). It is located around 6 km northwest of Natternbach in a wooded area near the district border between Grieskirchen and Schärding. Note: Coordinates placed in the center of the property.		11/21/1983
		Anton Wurmb-Linde	nd220	Neumarkt im Hausruckkreis KG:  Neumarkt im Hausruckkreis GrStNr: 188/2 location	The summer linden tree is located on a knoll north of Neumarkt in the Hausruckkreis next to your memorial stone for the local poet Anton Wurmb. At the time it was placed under protection, the linden tree had a trunk circumference of 3.8 m, a crown diameter of around 10 m and a height of around 15 m. The trunk of the linden tree is divided into seven main branches at a height of 1.9 m.		10/12/1983

		Imperial oak	nd221	Peuerbach KG:  Peuerbach GrStNr: 2945/58 location	The pedunculate oak ( Quercus robur ) on the Peuerbach square was planted in 1908 on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the reign of Emperor Franz Josef. At the time it was placed under protection, the oak had a trunk circumference of 3.1 m, a height of 18 m and a crown diameter of 13 m.		10/12/1983

		Book at the Bräuleithen supply road	nd469	St. Agatha KG:  Königsdorf GrStNr: 3521/5 Location	The common beech ( Fagus sylvatica ) stands in a bend on the Bräuleithen goods route. At the time it was placed under protection, it had a trunk circumference of 3.05 m (at a height of one meter), a crown diameter of around 16 m and a height of around 24 m.		10/01/1991
		Fadinger lime tree	nd233	St. Agatha KG:  St. Agatha GrStNr: 1202 location	The Fadinger Linden, a summer linden ( Tilia platyphyllos ) stands next to a chapel at the Fadingerhof in Parz . At the time it was placed under protection, it had a trunk circumference of 4.1 m at chest height, a crown diameter of around 15 m and a height of around 35 m. The linden tree was planted in 1626 and has two main branches. Note: The plot number 1201/1 in the notification or nature conservation book no longer exists.		01/10/1984
		Oak group	nd218	Taufkirchen an der Trattnach KG:  Roith GrStNr: 1122/2 location	The oak group consists of five English oaks ( Quercus robur ), which are part of a former oak alley at the eastern entrance to Taufkirchen. At the time they were placed under protection, the oaks had a trunk circumference of 2.5 to 3.4 m.		10/13/1983
		2 horse chestnuts at the statue of St. John v. Nepomuk	nd225	Tollet KG:  Tollet GrStNr: 66 location	The two common horse chestnuts ( Aesculus hippocastanum ) stand next to a listed statue of St. John of Nepomuk east of Tollet Castle . Originally the group of trees consisted of four protected chestnut trees, from which the two eastern trees had to be removed due to their poor condition (decision from 1989).		11/10/1983

		Linden tree at the sports field in Waizenkirchen	nd472	Waizenkirchen KG:  Weidenholz GrStNr: 689 Location	The winter lime tree ( Tilia cordata ) stands on the roadside of Eferdinger Straße at km 39.65. At the time it was placed under protection, the linden tree had a trunk circumference of 4.25 m, a height of around 24 m and a crown diameter of 20 m.		11/12/1991

At the time it was placed under protection, the chestnut had a trunk circumference of 3.4 m (measured at a height of 1 m), a height of around 18 m and a crown diameter of 12 m. It was planted in 1809 on the occasion of Emperor Napoleon's campaign, when Napoleon and his soldiers moved from Haag Castle to the battle of Ebelsberg.		03/04/1991
