List of natural monuments in the Grieskirchen district
The list of natural monuments in the district of Grieskirchen lists the objects designated as natural monuments in the district of Grieskirchen in the federal state of Upper Austria . Of the 18 natural monuments, 17 protected objects are trees or groups of trees, one natural monument is a protected rocking stone . Among the natural monuments are mainly native species, including six summer linden ( Tilia platyphyllos ), five pedunculate oak ( Quercus robur ), three winter linden ( Tilia cordata ), two common horse chestnuts ( Aesculus hippocastanum ), a giant sequoia ( Sequoiadendron giganteum ) and one Common beech ( Fagus sylvatica ). With three natural monuments, the municipality of Gallspach has the highest number of natural monuments, Natternbach , St. Agatha and Tollet each have two natural monuments.

The Fadinger Linden, a summer linden ( Tilia platyphyllos ) stands next to a chapel at the Fadingerhof in Parz . At the time it was placed under protection, it had a trunk circumference of 4.1 m at chest height, a crown diameter of around 15 m and a height of around 35 m. The linden tree was planted in 1626 and has two main branches. Note: The plot number 1201/1 in the notification or nature conservation book no longer exists. |
